We do not know if my dog is really pregnant or going thorugh a flase pregnancy. She is already about 60 days along, she tries to rip up paper, and shes really tired. She also breathes louder than normal. When we check for puppies moving inside her though, we can't really feel much happening. If she does have puppies we know it will be a small litter (2 or 3 puppies). Does this sound like a real pregnancy or a false pregnancy? Or can you not tell just by reading about the dog?

Thanks in advance!

We have a vet coming tommorrow, but shes not going to do x-rays, just look at her and check to see whats going on. And also she is producing milk if that helps any.

Did you see a tie if so she most likey is the vet will most likey want to do a xray if she thinks she is to see if the pups will be ok for her to have or if she will need a c-section but with a false one they do all the same things just no pup

Have her teats swollen up large and is there any milk dripping? A dog that close to a whelping date will be very full of milk and their belly will be very noticeable. In a false pregnancy they will most of the time go through all the motions of pregnancy with eating more, putting on some weight (not as much as real pregnancy though) and the nesting instinct. She may even collect a toy and baby it for a bit. It sounds like a false pregnancy but without seeing a picture it's sorta impossible to say 100%, did you get a xray or ultrasound to check for pups?

x-ray or sonogram is the only way to know for sure.
I recently got a poodle and was guaranteed it wos preg. the perosn's vet had palpated( felt) for pups. Took her to my vet and had an x-ray and sonogram and htey both showed she wasn't pregnannt. I've had the dog for 2 months now and she was suppose to be 40 days along so she wasn't.
Again only x0ray or sonogram

The vet may be able to tell you if she is preg. but you are still taking a very big chance not knowing how many or if they are possitioned correctly for a free welp. she really needs an x-ray

Take her to a vet, if she is having pups you need to know how many anyway so you can make sure none get stuck inside. Get an x-ray done, if there are pups you can see how many, if not, you'll know.

Then schedule her to get SPAYED, you shouldn't be wondering if your dog is pregnant or not! It obviously means you let her be unattended around random male dogs, and this world doesn't need any more unwanted mutts.
