You should definitely take him to the vet. Don't waste time with puppies. It's kind of like with humans - when an adult is acting or feeling a little off, you can wait a night or so to see if it clears up, but with babies and the elderly you don't take the risk. It sounds like kennel cough to me. Yes, beagles do wheeze occasionally but that is reverse sneezing and it is not high-pitched at all, and there is no coughing.

purina puppy chow is CRAP food (its the same as eatin mc donalds and cardboard 24/7)
the cough sounds like kennel cough or bordatella, you NEED to take him to the vet for antibiotics, kennel cough can easily turn into phneumonia which can easily kill an 8 week old puppy.
ckc papers mean nothing more than the parents were ckc registered, and even then its not safe becasue ckc will register ANYTHIGN for anyone who will pay them
registration paperwork is NOT a guarentee of health.
PLEASE take him to the vet ASAP

coughing could mean so many things in dogs, if he was with other dogs has he had his bordatella shot? (kennel cough) sometimes when dogs are around others they can get what is called kennel cough. there are so many different things it could be. does he cough up anything with it? mucus, blood or is it just a dry cough. different kinds of cancer can also cause cancer as well. have you taken him to a vet to get a check up yet? if not i would do that since you just got him. he may have had all his shots but its always good to have a vet give him a good check up to ensure he is healthy. well i hope i was of some help good luck with you and your puppy!

Maybe he has whipworms or a tracheal problem or might have kennel cough or something else going on. Best is to take your pup to a Vet as soon as possible and make sure it isn't something congenital, and if it's something like worms or kennel cough, your Vet can treat that easily.

Did it just start after eating? Maybe he ate too quickly and that made him cough? When puppies eat they do get pretty round bellies too. I would call the vet to just get their advice and keep an eye on him, if it keeps up and gets worse take him in to the vet asap...puppies can die very quickly when something goes wrong.
And just cause a pup is registered it does not guarantee a healthy dog.

It's because she is only 9 weeks old which is comparable to a two year old child. Puppies and children do not toliet train overnight. Be patient and consistant and the potty training will come. Pick one method and stick to it. I recommend crate training. If she's pooping in the house, you are not watching her well enough, letting her outside often enough, and/or cleaning the soiled areas well enough. A nine week old puppy should not have the run of the house. You would never allow a 2 year old child to have run of your house or you shouldn't.

Wheezing and coughing is probably kennel cough. My puppy is 3 months now and he had it when he first came home. When we got him he had a biggggg belly lol but he thinned out! To cure kennel cough go to the vet and they will give you meds for him.

This sounds like the pup is sick and needs a vet immediatley Pups can go down hill very very quickly.
You should have gotten a contract withthe pup as well and if it was a good breeder they should have suggested the pup see your vet.
A lot of the deseases pups can get take 7-10 days to show so if you did take to your vets it may not have been noticable. Most states have laws concerning breeders and them having a contract.
Please get him to the vets tonight.

sounds like he could have kennel cough...it's a form of bronchitis in dogs most of the time it will clear on it's own in a week to 10 days but with him being so young I'd take him to the vet to have a proper diagnosis and antibiotic

Maybe he has a case of asthma. I've also heard of a dog having whooping cough. It doesn't sound like anything major but maybe you should have him looked at by a vet anyway.
