yes, but only in his timing, not in ours. and sometimes we don't get the answer that we expected, sometimes what we want is something entirely different than what God wants for us. he see's the bigger picture, and has a plan for us all, and we can't see the whole picture yet, so we don't know what's best for us or why God puts us in certain positions, until the plan begins to unfold, and it becomes clear to us, what he is working out in our lives. so while we may be a little unsure for a time being, it's important that we keep total trust in the lord, knowing that he only wants the best for us, and he is using us for his ultimate goals. our faith is the most important thing God has instilled inside of his followers. through our faith in God, any thing can be done. God bless.

I agree with most of the posts already. God answers every prayer, though not always the way you want Him to. His desire is to get you to talk with/to Him and learn His will for your life. Eventually your prayers will be His prayers for you. If that makes sense.

Yes.

But sometimes the answer is NO.

Example. A few years ago I was working in Houston. I used to walk through the ENRON building on my way to lunch. The building had security, so I couldn't get deep inside, but Houston has a tunnel system downton so I used to cut past their gym...(yes they had a gym) on my way to lunch.

Well I used to go past their gym, and it was sweet. I used to think, "Man, I wish I had a job at ENRON." They were doing cutting edge stuff and handing out bonus checks like they were candy, and they took good care of their people... lots of stock options and they gym and they had a running team... all sorts of stuff. For a while I was praying that I would get a job there.

Well God knew more about what was going on at ENRON than I did, and I guess He saw that what I was asking for really wouldn't be good for me in the long run... so the answer to my prayers was "No." I didn't get the job I wanted at ENRON.

And now I thank God for that.

God hears the prayers of those that believe in him. Sometime, though, the answer is no.

Sorry, April. I don't think god answers prayers.

agnostic: a person who holds the view that any ultimate reality (as God) is unknown and probably unknowable; broadly : one who is not committed to believing in either the existence or the nonexistence of God or a god (Merriam-Webster online)

God doesn't answer any prayers. It's pure superstition.

he's never answered any of mine, so no I dont beleive he does.

try praying for god to heal an amputee. Have you EVER seen an amputee with a restored limb? Of course not - because god doesnt care.
