First of all, I'm a guy. Secondly, don't call me baby.

Anyway, as a DVD or a Blu-Ray player? You do realize that the PS3 is made by Sony - one of the best hardware companies on the planet right? As a DVD, its excelent. I'm not going to go into a bunch of tech talk but it works fine.

As for a Blu-ray player, Sony was one of the companies that help developed the BluRay in the first place. So other BluRay players made by some of the other companies are using some of Sony's technology. Sony and Pioneer developed BluRay together.

The PS3 is very good as a DVD Player. The PS3 can even upscale regular DVD's to HD quality. I use my PS3 to watch regular DVD's and Blu-Ray DVD's all the time. And the PS3 is pretty quiet while playing the DVD's too.
