We just had some snow the other day, and I went out to get in my car and it was dusted with all of these intricate, beautiful little snowflakes...they can't just happen by accident, right?

It must be like that watch analogy that everybody uses--if there's a watch, there must be a watch-maker, so if there are these complex, breathtaking little snowflakes there must be a snowflake-maker, right?

So does this snowflake-maker hammer out every one indivitually--they are all different, after all--he must work pretty fast if he does. What sort of tools does he use? Or does he just snap his fingers to make each one, or say, "Let there be snowflakes", or something like that?

manofthehour: I hope you were implying that, Yes, man can explain why it snows, how snowflakes form, etc., without needing to resort to some omniscient being.

The snowflakes are crystals of water. All crystals have a specific structure based on the bonding of their atoms. Water crystals interlock in that intricate pattern and have lots of possibilities for their total shape. It is purely mechnaistic.

Sure, there are lot's of designers/makers.There's the intelligent destroyer. He makes things fall apart and break down by creating little gremlins .Then there's the intelligent faller. He hammers out little flying pixies that push everything down.We figured out lightning a long time ago.Man hits object with hammer.Produces spark and loud noise.Hence, thunder god/designer makes lightning and thunder. It's so obvious.I don't know how anyone could deny such well thought out arguments. There's plenty more.
