No, angels are immortal spirits, and are of many thousands of different types. The lowest, most junior angel is a super-genius compared to even the most intelligent humans; and even these most junior angels easily travel at three times the speed of light, or about 21 times around the equator of the earth in one second. Some of the highest Angels and Super-Angels travel at infinite speed.
Thus, humans can not see angels; it takes other celestial beings to energy transform them and slow them down for us to see them; this is very rare. We are far more likely to see God in and as Jesus in our Spirit-Birth than to see an angel appear visibly to us. Angels are beings of pure Spirit Light and not at all like humans in appearance. A million of them in a flash could zip right through your body and you would not know it any more than you now sense all the radio and TV and other electromagnetic particles (waves are a secondary effect) zipping through your body.
Between angels and mortals are many soul level beings, including the ascending humans who have died here and gone up (ascended, graduated) to a higher heaven.
Both angels and humans can ascend up to perfect Paradise levels and reside there with God. There are no castes up there, all in the Family of God are equally loved and respected. Later, some human spirits and angel spirits can spiritually unite for a long age or ages or eternally, while still keeping their two or three different personalities. Angels serving humans usually work in pairs.
Thinking of the angels here with us as being a cute baby "cupid" with wings and a little bow and arrow is about as dumb as thinking that humans are just bacteria on a flea on the tail of a junk yard dog ! Ha ha Angels do have a good sense of humor, but they don't like our crude, unspiritual humor. Think of them more as mind elevators and helping us to think higher, more significant thoughts when we reflect in Spirit and in Truth on Reality.

Angels are spiritual beings. Death only came unto the world when Adam and Eve sinned. There is no death in heaven or in the spiritual realm.
