What are the technical specs for the channels frequencies(hertz) ,signal make up, etc. for the digital TV ?Where can I find further information on the technical aspects of the digital TV?

The frequencies will be the same as analog channels 2-51 after 2/17/09. Currently they are being broadcast on the same frequencies as analog channels 2-69.

Digital stations have the same bandwidth, however unlike the analog system, digital stations can use adjacent RF channels.
Each digital channel can transmit one than one program at the same time.

Unlike the analog system, you can't tell what RF frequency a digital broadcast is on based on the channel number. Stations just keep using their old analog channel # with sub-channels. If you look up your location at a place like www.tvfool.com you can find out the "RF" or "Actual" channel.

In North America the ATSC digital system is used for over the air broadcasts.It uses a MPEG-2 encoding method. The last link below has the technical specifications.
