I have a camera I bought from Circuit City and I got it for around $150.00 I think. I also got the extended warranty they offered for two years, it's been a little over 1 year since Septemberish and I was wondering if I "dropped it ; )" the lady said they give you a credit for the store and you would just pay the difference if you wanted a more expensive camera. I want a new one that has sound with video and not just video because I don't find the point to videotaping on my camera if I can't hear whatever I recorded.

Sounds like you want to take advantage of your extended warranty so you can get a new camera.

First, read these stories about others who had problems with Circuit City Extended warranties.

As it is, Circuit City won't let you bring the camera back in after 30 days. You'll have to contact the warranty company and ship your camera to them. See detail in the terms of their Advantage Warranty here, especially item #3.

I always wondered who bought those "extended" warranties. But I think the answer to what you're asking is that if you do "drop" it, you'll probably be stuck with a broken camera. Recommend ebay instead for that old camera, then coming up with the difference for the new camera.

Apparently you're asking for advice on how to be a dishonest person.

Just sell the camera you have and buy a new one with the features you want. Better yet, donate it to a charity that has a Thrift Shop and help the charity raise money.

I got screwed with the Best Buy extended warranty so I don't do warranties any more.

That sounds kind of dishonest to me. But it would probably work out good for you.
