This is the kind of question people used to discuss with family members. They know your strengths. They may also have some insight into what sort of jobs are available to people in your area. You might want to start your higher education by going to a community college. Once enrolled, go to their Counseling Office and ask to take a vocational aptitude test. Then discuss the results with a counselor. Good luck!

Your biggest failure would be not going to college when you have the opportunity to do so. I was 23 when I went to college. I wasn't really sure what I'd study either. I figured that I could at least get the basic courses and decide once I got a better feel of the system. I changed majors a couple times, but I ended up graduating. I do something completely different than my major, but the degree opened up doors that weren't open previously. Just get in school and decide as you go.

there is a book called
WHat color is your parachute. It is a great way to find out what things you are good at...there are certain tests in the book that will tell you what type of career fields would be best suited to your personality strengths. they have updates every year but get one from a year or two ago to save on costs. (I have placed a link to it on amazon...below)
Dont let not knowing what you want to do stop you from getting into school. General studies courses will allow you to start school and you can find your major later
Make this your new years resolution and get started NOW
Best of luck
YOu can do this
and dont feel bad
most of us felt like you did at some point

You have many years in front of you, so don't panic. I read a book called how to find yourself and a new job. What I discovered was what does it takes to make you happy? Do you enjoy working with people or working by yourself? Are you good at explaining things to someone? Where are your natural gifts; language, writing, creativity, resolving issues?
In the book it said to ask ten people who really know you this question ' When you think of me what three words come to your mind? I was very surprise at their answers. I thought that they would say negative things about my personally. What they saw was my ability with people and numbers. My faith no matter what situation I was in I would not give up. My out look on life, and how I would reach out to people who had less than myself. I took all of these things for granted.
You probably have some very unique gifts that you are taking for granted, and this will make you stand out from the average person.
Follow your heart and you will never be disappointed in life.

You don't have to decide right away. If you want to go to college, just get yourself enrolled. As you go through school, you will find that you will have more interest and do better in certain types of classes. Once you find the areas that naturally interest you, then select that area as your major and your career field. Some of my favs were philosophy, logic and art.
