I'm regularly traveling from (let's say..) stop A, to stop N, it says so in the pass. However, I make a connection between trains, can I stay on the first train for the next stop (not take next train that takes me to the destination on the pass), and come back from that same stop, let's say stop H

yes as long as you do not exceed your zones you never have to paay a step up. if you went to location O, that would cost you the difference.... just a token charge.
