I've never heard of it, but they could put warning labels on it saying :
"It's alive." 'The material inside this book may & has been known to change lives. People who have read this book, generally never return to poverty of sin & depravation, enter at the risk of gaining everlasting life only if you want eternal bliss."

I think most of this idea has to do with what sections of the Bible recommend. For example, the Bible can be taken literally and make people believe they must sell EVERYTHING they own, or make sacrifices, etc. This is of course up to the reader to take care of, but personally I think the Bible deserves a warning label. Think about history - there have been many fights in the world because people do not believe the same thing. It still goes on today through Islam VS. Christianity. Think of it not as a religious book but as any other book. It tells you to murder people who work on Sunday, it tells you to murder anyone who is homosexual, and also tells you to murder your own son or daughter if they are extremely disobedient. There is even a quote that tells the reader to commit self-mutilation. It claims "if your eye causes you to sin, gouge it out and throw it away. It's better to go to heaven without an eye than to be eternally burned in Hell", or something to that effect. Some of the claims this book makes are very absurd, and can really lead to some dangerous acts.

Why on earth would we want to do that Michelle? The Bible is the best selling book in the world, I would think every one knows what they're getting into when they buy one. If they choose to believe what is in it...well that's fine with me. After all we do have free will after all. Warning labels???...no, not needed. Merry Christmas to you and yours.

It's stupid, IMO.

Who would do it? The Atheist General? LOL

No one has determined that any warning is needed, as has been done concerning cigarettes. The Surgeon General's warning on ciggies has to do with them causing cancer. Cancer kills.

This is silly!

WARNING! Reading the material contained in this book may enable you to have eternal life!

the bible is a book. books don't need warning labels unless there is explicit adult material that needs to be kept away from young impressionable minds.

I would tear them off if I saw a warning tag on a Bible.

It was a humorous response to Cobb County, GA's requiring warning stickers on biology books (which are no longer there, thanks to the NCSE).
