He never made it across the road. We only tell that story so we will not scare children with the horrible truth.
What really happened is, the chicken was standing on a street corner and this man with a white beard stopped to have a chat with him. The chicken being a nice chicken said hiya, and then he was never seen again. The only thing witnesses saw was a license plate with Colonel on it.

That chicken crossed onto MY side of the road, after I asked her several times to stay off my property. So, I waited and watched and when that chicken and whacked her head off with an ax, and Lil Miss and I defeathered it and fried it and it was Finger Lickn GOOD!!!!
