Unfortunately, there are no quick methods to eliminating student loan debts. The choices for those who are not trained for a specific field are school teacher in a depressed area, volunteering a huge amount of time per year, or become a civil servant (working for the state or federal government). All except for teaching will not eliminate the debt fully. For example, the Peace Corps will eliminate a maximum of 70% of the student loan debt. One warning is that the amount forgiven will represent income and not be an income tax write off like it is for paying the student loan. I will include some information below on it.

There may be a grant or something that can help pay off student loans, but the only quick way I know of for sure is to get a personal loan at your bank. It would be a good idea to survey the grant possibility as well.

Yes, pay them.

Other than that, if you work as a teacher in a seriously depressed urban area, your loan might be forgiven, but you have to work there several years. Read the loan papers, and you may find reference to this.
