Okay well I've been dating this boy for 7 months and so for Christmas, I ordered him a shirt from American Eagle Online. I was really excited when I ordered it [I'm the kind of person who has to give special people the PERFECT present, or it's not good enough]. So I'm pretty excited to give it to him. But, my friend Jillie got a boy that she's crushing on, and their verry close to dating, a shirt AND a hat from Herbergurs!! Now I'm spazzing because we both got them the same thing, but she got her "wanna-be-bf" more than I got my serious bf. Do I get him something, more? I don't have any time or money for more shopping! And I would bake him cookies with it, but he doesn't like sweets!! HELP PLEASE!?

If you're trying to express something from your heart,(which is the real reason for this gift giving, anyway) you've done enough. If you're trying to compete, then you've got more work to do...I recommend buying him a suit. (If you don't recognize sarcasm when you read it, he should really enjoy the suit.) Happy Holidays.

I'm sure he'll love it - after all, a gift is a way of showing you care... and it really is the thought that counts. He's not going to compare your gift with what other people got - he's going to know that you picked it out especially for him. If you want to spruce it up a bit, how about a homemade gift certificate (like for a back-rub, his favorite meal, or a movie night where he gets to pick all the movies, etc.) or make him a special Christmas card? Gifts don't have to cost money, they should come from the heart.

I cannot believe you're spazzing over something so ridiculously trivial. There is no need to waste more money just so you can compete with your friend. Just stop already and grow up.

If he is a good bf, he will like whatever you get him. He will most likely be very happy that you thought of him! I know I always am.

I think that is perfectly fine. Its the thought that counts. Dont worry what your friend bought . Take him out to dinner after xmas, but dont feel bad.
