That depends on what type of images your camera will allow you to capture, the image resolution you have your camera set at, and the actual composition of the images you are taking (some pictures use more memory than others. Using the best quality image capture format available (RAW format) at maximum quality, you might expect +/- 120 images on a 2GB card. using lower quality capture formats such as TIF or JPG, you will get more images (but of a bit lower quality). I always suggest that you take your original camera images at the best quality your camera will allow. You can make your images smaller and of lower quality to suit your needs during editing operations, but you can never add quality to the original camera image later.

Roughly, 320-400 high quality jpeg images (depending on the particular camera used).

edit...As I said above, it depends on the particular make and model camera you are using, as not all makes process their jpegs the same as others.
But, you will still expect to get around the same figures when shooting in the best quality/resolution. I'm assuming you're not talking about RAW (you will obviously not be able to shoot as many images).

Keeping your camera at 12 megapixels, my chart shows 256 shots. So figure 250.

It depends on the file format.

RAW - about 111 pictures (18MB per image)
JPEG - about 800 pictures (2.5MB per image)
