Contact the parents of friend and advise your daughter this is not an appropriate time to call someone unless there is an emergency.

Tell your daughter to communicate with those friends by email or text messaging instead after a certain hour. Alternatively, get her a cell phone and/or her own phone line in her room. If she does have her own phone, don't take it away. It is better to let her chat on the phone and/or by email than to make her want to do something worse, such as actually being out of the house, with all the problems that may create. If she's not leaving the house, why does it bother you, anyway?

It's your daughters job to inform friends of the cut off time for phone calls. If someone calls after the designated hour, put the number on call block and be done with it!

Get on the phone and tell them the hours that they are allowed to call. No one had better call my house after 9 unless it is an emergency.

We had a policy that we didn't accept calls after 9pm, and theeir friends knew it. It's just common courtesy.
When some kids were trying to get our daughters into trouble they called at all hours and hung up. They even TP'd our house, complete with ketchup all over the car and door knobs. When we found out who they were, we let them know that we would notify the police if they tried anything again.

my mom did the following all at once:

1.) Told the kids I couldn't have calls past 10pm.
2.) Took the phone off the hook at 11PM every night.
3) Grounded me if I couldn't talk sense into my own friends. . . I was grounded for 1 week.

If it were me, I would be taking the phone off the hook. Or when they call, call RIGHT back after they hang up and ask their parents to make sure they are not calling at such a late hour. Also, take the phone out of your daughter's room if she has one in there.

Turn off the ringer of the phone, or unplug it. Tell them that you don't allow phone calls after a certain hour.

Tell her friends that she cannot call after midnight. I wouldn't let anyone call after 10 ish... if they keep calling talk to their parents. Don't leave the phone unhooked, because if someone needs to contact you (family emergency, etc) they wouldn't be able to get through.
