What kind of question is this? Why wouldn't it be okay for a man to express his feelings through written word? What makes you think that it would be wrong? Are you defining your perception of a man by what society dictates and the generalizations that derive from that or by considering each person as an individual with their own unique qualities that make them who they are? What about musicians who write their own music? Do you not see that lyrics are basically the same thing as a poem?
