in the public school system, we are not allowed to say the name of God or the Savior...unless we are using them in vain?

Actually, patriot dude, I am not making it up. The public education system frowns upon talking about religion, but they have no problem when little Timmy puts his finger into the electric pencil sharpener and screams out the Savior's name. I just find it kind of odd.

And Tom, I'm not saying that religion should be taught, but that it should be tolerated in schools.
Not that that matters, there's in entire section on Islam in Social Studies in grade 7.

You're allowed to say "God" or "Savior".
You're making this up. Doesn't the fact that you have to lie to defend your beliefs make you wonder about the quality of those beliefs? It should.

Oh, please.
You were caught in a lie, and now you've repeated it. Are you a compulsive liar? You're certainly not making much of a case for your side with all this dishonesty.

Because Tolerance is something Christianity may preach but rarely practices.
You want your God and prayers in school? Great. I want mine, and Islam, and the flying spagetti monster, and Buddist Chanting, and Hinduism, and Every other religeon represented equally with prayer regardless of the number or presence of any worshipers of that religeon.
So after a few dozen hours of "morning prayer" the week is about over. And one maybe 2 days of teaching will be done before it is time next week for morning prayers again.
If you want to open the school doors to religeon fine, but make sure each and every religeon is treated exactly equal.

Where I live our public schools have become very
multi-cultural, so they no longer have the Lord's Prayer,or Bible scripture in the schools.
TOLERANCE IS NOW THE BOTTOM LINE ///
And yes, very seldom is it an offense to take the Lord's
name in vain.

Give me an example of somebody who was reprimanded for saying the name of G-d or the Savior in school.
Just because you say it, doesn't make it true.

I wish I had a dollar for everytime a kid in my classroom asked me if I believe in God. I tell them I don't believe Christ was born on December 25th.

Because the minute someone says "Allah" or "Mohammed", all the Christians will get up in arms just like we do.

We say the pledge of allegiance. Also, we are not allowed to curse in schools.

Man, the more I see this kind of thing, the harder it is to believe that Christians have any morality at all. Don't you people EVER get sick of lying all the time?
