If you did all the other sacraments, kept your house in order, missioned, etc, yet did not tithe, would you still gain celestial heaven?
Does the church make you tithe a specific way, or do you just put some cash or a check in the collection basket on Sundays? Thanks in advance!
Sidenote: I understand the importance of tithing, completely, so thats not what Im wondering, just wanted to know if it were required. Thanks!

10% of any income, yes. Collection baskets are for anything additional you wish to contribute.
Edit: The church I attended had collection baskets at various doorways in the church (they weren't passed around or anything). They were to place your envelopes of tithe in but we were told we could also place additional money into them in separate envelopes if we chose to.

We don't have to. There are no collection baskets because tithing is a private thing. No one comes knocking at your door if you fail to give the envelope to your Bishop each month or so. Once a year we have an Interview with the Bishop in which he asks "Are you a full tithe payer?" and you answer "Yes" or "No" but he doesn't ask to see payslips or bank statements to prove one way or the other. Tithing is between you and God.
Having said that, when you are being interviewed for a Temple Recommend, one of the questions to judge your worthiness/faithfulness is about whether you pay tithing. If you don't, then in most cases you will not be able to get a Recommend to enter the Temple. The Temple does help with our ability to enter the celestial kingdom (although not "heaven" - you can get to "heaven" without the Temple ordinances) and so most faithful Mormons would be keen to get a recommend.
I tithe, have done for several years, and I see it as something easy and small I can do to thank God for all the wonderful blessings He has given me. Were I to stop paying tithing the Bishop might come to see me, but probably because he'd assume I had lost my job, not because he wanted to pressure me to pay it.

Yes , Tithe is require. 10% of increase.
We do not use basket. We have envelope in which the member will pick up at their convenience, they can hand it to a member of the Bishopric when ready.
3 We believe that through the Atonement of Christ, all mankind may be saved, by obedience to the laws and ordinances of the Gospel.
(Pearl of Great Price | Articles of Faith 1:3)
Tithe is a commandment too.
Many may say God does not need money, and that is true.
But we the members certainly need money for the heating, and building maintaintence.
I was in a ward a few years back, which blessed with a new chapel, the congregation certainly do not have the means to build it or to maintain it, it is all from tithing contribution of members from other parts of the world.
I know it, because I was the Clerk who counts the tithing money for my ward, and I know our ward do not have the money for the new chapel or its monthly expenses.

Call it a red tape sort of thing, you can't get into the temple if you don't pay an honest tithe.
So, yeah, you do the math.
But all kinds of blessings come from paying tithes, so I don't mind at all. ^_^
And we have envelopes that we can mail or give directly to the bishops sec, very discreet, no collection baskets. ^_^

we are ENCOURAGED to pay full tithe.
initially i wasn't asked to tithe because i was a full time student am not earning anything. i do have a $150 weekly allowance, and i can give ten percent of that, but since it's not my earning, i wasn't required to pay tithe. (i still did anyway, they left me to decide on the matter). if i died during that time i wasn't required to pay tithe, i believe i still would have reached celestial kingdom. i have faith, i have repented of my sins, and continue to do so, i was baptised by immersion in water, and i have received the gift of the holy ghost by laying of hands.
i believe even the elderly who receive monthly pensions are not required to pay tithe, but they still do.
like what the other LDS have mentioned, we do have envelopes were you can put your tithe. i heard from one missionary who's from australia that they do it via internet. i don't know exactly how that works, but we do not have baskets.

no, they don't make you. but i know that if you don't then you can't get some of the privligages like temple recomends.
and about the celestial kingdom thing, i am not sure.
if you don't really know, i know what i am about to say is the oldest thing in the world, but pray about it and see if what answer you get!
good luck and happy christmas
