My girls both have blankets that they'd have since they were born. My three year old calls hers "Nilla" I don't know how that started. My six year old calls hers "Gigi" because there is a little giraffe on hers, and thats how she said it when she was little [miss those days ;)]
What do your kids call hers?

This is going to sound gross, but my son calls it his "snot blanket". When he was little and had a cold, rather than waste an entire box of tissues on him, I would use receiving blankets on his nose (they were softer anyway). He liked to have one in his crib so he could use it at night if he had, too. Now, he has a little blue blanket that he just keeps in bed (and doesn't use as a tissue) but still calls it his "snot blanket". I often get weird looks from babysitters!

My son calls his "night-night." At one point we tried introducing a second one for those times that the first one has to be in the laundry or if, God forbid, it got lost. So sometimes he'll differentiate the two as a "white night-night" or "blue night-night," which is funny because they're both blue, one just has more white on it than the other.

My son refers to his blanket as his "blanky". I might buy him a new one for Christmas, my son will be 26 years old on Christmas day. Yes he has had the same "blanky" for 26 years now. He sure is cute.

My 6 year old has a pillow that is just "special pillow", and my 2 year old has 2 old sleep sacks that she carries like blankets and she calls them her 'wottys". Wotty rhyming with potty. I have no idea where it came from.
When I was little I called mine my "bubby".

My son has an elephant blanket that he calls Elly and he calls his other blanket "b". In fact, all of my kids called their blankets "b". My baby brother (now 23) called his "ee-ee".
