I have a 302 Windsor out of a 72 ford pickup truck with C4 trans. What should I expect in HP since its all been installed in a 1965 Mercury Comet Caliente. I know the 302 has high torque since it comes from a Truck.

Your subject is you adore velocity and in case you have your foot in it dissimilar the time the 4-barrel will consume you alive. in case you could administration your self the 4-barrel wont use plenty extra advantageous than the two barrel. once you punch the gasoline pedal and the different 2 barrels kick in there'll must be extra gasoline shooting interior the carb for extra capability and that's while they suck the gasoline up. i'd think of including your 302 that in case you don' t over do it you would be happier with the 4 barrel although you will see a reasonable drop on your gasoline mileage additionally, you probably did no longer say yet once you have a automated trans this is beneficial to put in a 4 velocity instruction manual trans to assist the gasoline milage.too plus their extra exciting.with a.Holley. sounds like your gonna have a exceedingly mean working truck.

Just because it came out of a truck doesn't mean it has torque! That being said, I wouldn't expect more than 220hp from that motor. '72 was the beginning of the end for Detroit performance.
