I've never tried to make decorated sugar cookies before but will try tonight. I keep hearing about people using brushes...what kind? Pastry brushes? Regular paint brush? Is there one that is recommended over another? And where do I buy it? Thank you!

You can use a ziplock bag, fill it with icing, cut out a small hole in the corner, and pipe the icing on to the cookies.

You can color the icing before you put it into the bag, too.

Happy baking =)
