Providence is the divine guidance of men and things. It is described as:

Universal (Psalm 103:19)
Purposeful (Genesis 45:5-8)
Mysterious (Job 11:7-9)
Irresistable (Daniel 4:35).

It is manifested in the world by God's preservation, providing, guiding, ruling and contol of even the most minute details.

Believers are told to: acknowledge it, and humble themselves before it, in God's hands.
