It does matter but it doesn't matter universally. A big part of attraction is association. If that particular guy knew some person, especially in his childhood, that he liked and they were noticably tall or short, this would stick with him and he would favor one or the other.
Aside from that, typically people want to date someone who is like them. If they are tall they will tend to go for tall people. If they're short they will tend to go for short people.
But these ARE more immediate impressions. These importance of these physical characteristics tends to diminish once you get to know a person better. More evidence that physical 'attractiveness' has as much to do with conditioning and association as it does with specific physical features.
I think there are some features that are universally considered attractive but they are not all powerful and can easily be overpowered by other factors of attraction.

A girls height doesn't really matter at all, it may play a part in being attracted to someone at first, but the personality is the biggest attraction guys look for.
Like me, i am attracted to girls that are as tall as me, but all my girlfriends have been about 5'8" - 5'11"
I'm 6'4" just to give you a height, i don't really like shorter women because it makes me feel like a child molester, i'm talking below 5'5".

I really think that height doesnt matter cuase yea my bf is like 5`10 and im like 4`11 and an half!

i am 5 feet and i have never had a guy not liking me for my height. my current boyfriend loves my height and everything else about me. i dont think height really matters when someone is interested in you.

Mostly short gals are considered cute. Especially when you are a bit chubby (not fat). Depends more on the attitude. If you sound confident and you don't start fighting with him when he pulls your leg (consider giving him a stare accompanied by a cute smile or coy too obviously. Though such postures sound artificial he wouldn't mind and most guys actually love it)

I'm just over 6'1", and 15. So it's kind of awkward when I'm talking to girls that are like a foot shorter than me. It's equally awkward talking to one who's taller. It doesn't matter too much, as long as she's not short and clingy, lol.

Well it doesnt matter alot. For me its the girls personality that i would go for. The guy shouldnt care for the hight of the person, if they are truly in love with each other than everything should eb alright in the end.

Not at all. Sub five foot would just present logistical problems to be dealt with at a later date, haha, but as long as a girl's not child sized it won't matter.
Alternatively, invest in taller shoes.

It depends on the guy, to some it matters but to the ones that have class it does not.
