I am training my daughter and she is doing well when she is undressed. but as soon as I put any clothing on her she will pee on herself and be oblivious, I think it may be the familar sensation of warmth. I have regular fading prints pull ups and don't want to spend another $14 on more pulls up if they don't work. So, has anyone tried the "cool alert" pull-ups and how effective were they?

I have tried them and they didn't work! But, then again my 4 year old son is mentally 2 and doesn't want to have anything to do with the potty! I hear little girls are so much easier to potty train! I hear putting her into little girl panties works!!!
Good luck! Tried that to! Didn't work!!! :o( I have no idea on how we're going to train this boy!!! Oh well! Good Luck and Happy Holidays!

Have you tried the Gerber cloth training pants with plastic pants over it? It'll save your furniture from being ruined and they'll feel uncomfortable. Disposable diapers or pull-ups are too comfortable so there is not much motivation to use the toilet.

If it's cold outside then you can take her in the backyard to play. If she wets her pants outside she won't be experiencing a "familiar sensation of warmth" but she'll be freezing instead. I did this to my son when he was 3. He came back in the house with his teeth chattering and yelling "I'm cold! I'm wet!". I told him "See what happens when you don't go potty". He never even had one accident (during the day) after that.

I think any kind of pullup is just a more expensive diaper, and if you really want to train her then you need to put cloth training pants or panties on her. It is warm at first but then the panties get cold and uncomfortable, plus they don't hold much. With pull ups there is no incentive because it holds almost as much as a diaper. Just put some panties on her and don't go anywhere for a few days. Take her to the potty every 1-2 hours, or after naps and meals. Praise bigtime when she goes and just clean it up and move on when she has an accident.

Since everyone here says cool alert doesn't work, I can tell you what did work for my daughter. She had in her mind that she wanted to do everything on her own. It turns out it was a perfect opportunity for potty training. I started by just setting The Potty Stool http://www.thepottystool.com at the toilet. This stool makes every toilet kid-sized. My kids immediately climbed up on this stool and discovered that they could safely and securely use the toilet. This got them very interested in using the toilet and potty training was stress-free.

My kids like to use what they know mommy and daddy use. And it really is wonderful having your kids independently use the toilet on their own. The handles and sides make all the difference! My son and daughter felt very secure and the sides makes them feel comfortable and closed in when they use the toilet.

I love that I don't double the steps of potty training by using a potty chair and teaching my kids to first use the potty chair and then try to teach them to stop using the potty chair. Plus I could not stand the thought of dumping out a potty. I hope this helps you.

I have two girls and one boy, girls are so much easier to train. My girls were trained by two . My son is three and doesn't care for the whole potty training thing. I think the pull ups with the cool alert don't work. Either that or my son just doesn't care if he is cold down there.. For my girls I bought them silk underwear because when they were wet it had the same effect .. when wet it gets cold and they don't like to be cold down there.

They don't work at all. I helped train my little cousin (he's 2 1/2) and they didn't work at all. All they are are just diapers that are easy for a kid to put on. Use diapers or underpants, your pick. Diapers leave terrible rashes on kids. I'd use regular underpants. When he wets himself it feels warm but does cool off (then it feels uncomfortable) and he'll know to use the potty.

I certainly have in no way been a believer in pull united statesperiod. To me they have been purely like a diaper. I certainly have 2 boys. They the two potty experienced at completely distinctive an prolonged time. One replaced right into a million a million/2 and the different replaced into 2 a million/2. purely attempt taking him to the potty numerous cases in the process the day and seeing if he desires to pass. Make it a habit to pass on the comparable time on a daily basis. additionally, considering the fact which you comprehend he is going to pee interior the tub, attempt putting him on the rest room then. you're to easily pass little at a time with boys. My youngest acted like he replaced into waiting, yet then did no longer fairly initiate potty education till 6 months later. wait and spot, it fairly is going to take place! solid success.

Its a good idea but not worth the money, You should just practice waking her up in the middle of the night so she can go. There main problem is they usually are to heavy of sleepers

I tried different pull-ups, and NONE worked for my oldest daughter! I wouldn't waste the money on them ever again, even for my youngest daughter!

Save your money, and don't purchase them!
