Hardly not. It shows your support for the special forces unit.
On the other hand, if you jogged down to the local Army surplus store and bought a set of fatigues to wear around town, that WOULD be disrespectful. :o)
It's one thing to say "I support you", quite another to say "I think special ops are totally cool and I hope the girls will mistake me for a SEAL."

Not stupid at all. I have old military t-shirts that my kids love to wear, and one of their favorite is the old '' hang 10'' that has the Viet Nam campaign ribbon on it . I see a lot of kids wearing college sweatshirts, Pro football, baseball and such,.. you get the idea. Its a way of showing support/agreement for whatever logo is imprinted onto the shirt. The more factual looking and authentic a shirt looks, the more desirable it is to have....go for it and wear it with pride.

It would be dumb not to wear it if you want, otherwise you don't understand what the words mean?
It would be even dumber to wear an SAS T shirt if you were in the SAS?

If your best friend brought you a t-shirt back from a vacation to Hawaii, would you not wear the shirt because you didn't go?
Wear what you want...I think it's fine.

I have a sweatshirt from the "New York City Jail." I have never been to jail. Are you suggesting I should not wear the sweatshirt when I travel to New York?
