my male is 10.5 weeks old...and weigs 22 lbs...normal?
seems to gain 3-4 lbs every 4 days or so...

Seems on track. Just beware...too fast growth, or a too heavy puppy all lead to orthopedic issues down the road. My girl is about 6 months and is about 60 lbs. Clearly, males are larger.
Just keep the growth SLOW and make sure he is THIN. NOOOOOO puppy food...unless it is large breed puppy....and even then I would be careful.

depending on the size of the parents and what breed of american bulldog he is (there are 2 types of american bulldogs) anyway it sounds normal
