Sounds like post nasal drip - most likely from allergies. You can take over the counter antihistimes but they lose effectiveness over time - instead try a homoepathic remedy like "Sino-Fresh" it has wintergreen and clears the infection with no side effects or dependancy. Most people I know who have used it noticed after a few doses that the drip had reduced and after a few moths it was gone completely. Good Luck!

This sounds very much like postnasal drip and is often allergy-related. You can try a product such as Claritin-D, one that contains both an antihistamine (to inhibit histamine production) and a decongestant (to dry up secretions). If this doesn't work effectively, request a referral to an allergist. You may require a prescriiption nasal mist as well.
Postnasal drip (PND) can be difficult to control and sometimes requires trying different combinations of medications. Not all meds or combinations work for everyone. Be patient. I understand your situation, I have PND, too.
FYI: Chronic sinusitis can also cause PND, in which case no homeopathic remedy will treat THAT infection.

My husband and son both have that problem due to year-round allergies. I don't know if you're familiar with a medication called Zyrtec, but for most people who take it, it's absolutely the miracle pill. I can't claim that it works for everyone by any means, but I definitely recommend asking your doctor about it to see if it's a good option for you. That drainage business is real pain in the rear, and I hope you find the solution that helps.

antihistamines are great for this problem. I know some of them make you very drowsy, but your doctor might be able to prescribe a med that will dry up your sinuses, and you will no longer have that post nasal drip. I have had that problem for years, it gets worse when there is a pollen in the air that I am allergic to. I think there are some non drowsy meds in the drug store that will also dry up your sinuses. It would be a good idea to ask your pharmacist what over the counter drugs would help!

You probably need an allergy medication like Claritin or Allegra to stop that drip!
