Dont let anyone one this board that is a faithful Mormon try to tell you that this movie is not true from the ORIGINAL teachings of the Mormon church! It has been change and twised throughout time by the church leaders of today to sound more SANE!!! I was an active Mormon for many years and this movie is very accurate!! Weird huh! I finally saw the light and started to research some of these issues, and found all of it True and practiced!. And I wish not to have anything to do with their made up hogwash! I try to warn others to stay away! The reason that alot of people say this is not true of the church is...
A. Their young and havent heard of all the weirdness of their Churches HISTORY! or
B. The weird stuff is a big HUSH HUSH in the Church!! If you question it too far your going where you should not be going!

Oh and the Celestial sex is what the leaders believe and it was taught in Church history that faithful men that are sealed in the temple and live worthy can become like God and inherate their own planet and procrate with their WIVES to make spirit children that will take bodies and live and their planet that they rule over!! (not kidding, wish I was)Mormons believe in poligamy in Heaven! The women just havn't heard the whole story of it or that is one of the HUSH topics!!

Oh and TO the ones above that dont believe that its true. Have them as a parent or bishop about the planet Kolob and about poligamy in Mormon heaven and mother in Heaven!! See what they say!! oh and there a reason that the faithful LDS people say "only research from Church approved material"
DUH! then all this balogna is Safe.

It might be Ed Decker's but it is still all true!

actually there are two creation stories, one for temple goers and one for none temple goers.
So the youtube may be the one from the temple or not, who knows. They do believe that if adam and eve did not eat the fruit, and sin, which most christians know is wrong, their eyes would not be opened to the truth.
So basically, the mormons are saying that the world God created was wrong and the one lucifer messed with was good.
2 Ne. 2: 22
22 And now, behold, if Adam had not transgressed he would not have fallen, but he would have remained in the garden of Eden. And all things which were created must have remained in the same state in which they were after they were created; and they must have remained forever, and had no end.
Moses 5: 10
10 And in that day Adam blessed God and was filled, and began to prophesy concerning all the families of the earth, saying: Blessed be the name of God, for because of my transgression my eyes are opened, and in this life I shall have joy, and again in the flesh I shall see God.

It's a joke, and the joke's on you if you believe any of what was in that you tube video.

The guy who made it has already been aptly described to you by other answers here. He is a man so full of hate for being caught and then being punished that he will do anything he can to discredit the Church that he even knows and believes to be true. It must not be much fun being him. He even makes horrendous videos, but that doesn't change the truth. And the truth is not in his video or in anything he says or does.

This movie was made by people who hate Mormons and are trying to slander them.

They've taken things out of context, mixed lies with truth, and have done everything in their power to make Mormons look kooky. If you're trying to learn what Mormons believe, you've taken a step backwards by watching this. Now you have to sort out lies from truth.

Mormons believe that:

God is our Father in Heaven. We believe that there is a "Mother in Heaven", but know little about her.
We lived with him before we came to earth.
He created a plan for us to become more like him. Earth life is part of this plan.
We believe God created the earth. We don't know how. He may have used evolution or other methods. Geneisis isn't an astrophysics textbook from God.

Hope that helps.

First off, I'm a mormon.

Second, much of what this video states is the truth. It is highly distorted, some of it fabricated, but it does contain truth.

This is from the movie "The God Makers", mde by Ed Decker, an ex-Mormon kicked out of church for beating his wife and cheating on her repeatedly. He is now an evangelical Christian.

From Wikipedia:

"Decker's work has attracted criticism not only from Latter-day Saints, but also from religious scholars of other faiths, as well as other critics of the Mormon faith"

When other anti-Mormon critics criticized his work, he accused them of being paid by the LDS church and accused them of being agents of Satan.

I'm a Mormon and it's a load of bull. Tragic that it's out there perpetuating lies about what we believe.

Some observations:

First, "Cartoon banned by..."

Banned from what, or whom? The church doesn't control television or anything else.

And if we do watch it, what happens?

Second. This thing about "spirit BABIES". Nothing in our teachings says anything about "spirit BABIES". Or being "eternally pregnant". Why do these "SPIRIT babies" have nappies on? Do spirits poopoo?

Also, "endless celestial sex"??? When would God ever have time to be God, if He's so "busy" with his "wives"??

I don't remember if these things were part of the "cartoon", or te movie, or just in the book. But, yes, it's bull.

No it's not true.

I don't even have to look at the link to know it's the "video banned by the Mormon church" It's probably 'banned' because they don't discuss the full truth about what we believe.
