tebone: are you joking? all we ever hear are god botherers whining about "the real meaning of Christmas" and other bigoted garbage. Most people celebrate Christmas, enjoy the daft fairy tales and silly hymns, like the food, and the presents. But it's no more than that - a silly outdated festival. Get over it.

So much for tolerance, eh?

I find it sad that when you suggest Christians display some tolerance towards other religions they start yelling about "false" religions and actually claim they're being persecuted because they should be tolerant of other holidays this time of the year.

Have you noticed the questions about the pagan origins of Easter have already started? By the Christians.

Considering that a majority of the world is pagan, tolerance for Christians is not an issue.

Now, in America you can celebrate anything, anyway you like without repercussions.

Problem is, in America non Christians want Christian to become silent about their faith, traditions, and ways of life in the public square.

Our democracy does not allow for exclusion of religion from the public domain. We are allowed to live and express ourselves in a pluralistic society.

The worst part of this is you will still get answers that say it is about christ. But I think it's a fun time of year and everyone should enjoy it in there own way.

pfft doubt it,I mean isn't that the reason their 'trying' to get Halloween canceled? because they do not have much tolerance. And for the woman who said your not right if you do not celebrate christmas, begging your pardon but about HALF of the people who do the things you say happens are Christians and in any case Christ was NOT born in the winter and it WAS our holiday first, you guys just stole it.

Hey we arent the ones bit*chin about it. All I ever hear is "Boo Hoo, the Christians stole our day". Everyone is entitled to celebrate Christmas or Winter Solstice or what ever holiday any way they see fir. No one owns the calendar and no one owns the holidays.

Peace and God bless you

If you're so sure of yourself, why post this nonsense? Go on; do it your way. Don't whine on a public forum about waaa waaa waaaa. (After Armageddon there will be no more pagan holidays or false religions, or blasphemy; that will be wonderful)

Big boy...

tolerance is the reason society is the way it is, we have women getting abortions, gay men and women getting married, pregnant teens, too many STD's to count, murders, durg dealers, druggies, prostitutes, liers, stealers, i could go on and we have all of these problems becuase we say oh well let them do what they want with thier life i am going on with mine. if we stood up and said what we believed and took action we wouldnt have auch an unclean society! so no i wont tolerate "your" christmas, becuase its not christmas if your not uplifting christ and his birth. not everything is about you.

I am a Christian - I am married to someone who isn't. To be honest. Christmas is mostly a commercial money drain, but we love it.
I do my churchy things, and we all do the family and fun things together.
I like to have some thoughts and spirituality about my Christmas, but I don't even force my children to come to church on Christmas day if they don't want to.
Who's been on at you?!
