we ALL share the same mitochondrial DNA, which indicates we had a common single mother and so, we are all brothers and sisters. So, yes, war is fratricide

Is all of humanity genetically related? Yes.
Is it all one family'? No
It is divided into race nation color and creed and tribe -
the commonality of humanity is that man is made in the image of God - my 8 year old asked me the same question and drew the same conclusion -
we kill our own. But given that we were to suppose we are all related, what happens in a family when one member kills another?
(Cain and Abel)
what happens when one murders her husband by remote after impregnating his neighbors wife
(David and Potiphar)
Sometimes what happens is the law comes into effect. Other times there is an exile -
The mad aunt in the attic syndrome.
I know of few families where all is sweetness and light - there ! You just thought of the horrible (brother in law cousin uncle aunt you can't stand to be with at Christmas) -
see?
So no, war is not mass fratricide - it is pretty pointless as it changes nothing but for a short while - but more to the point, isn't selling drugs, murder, adultery, stealing all the definition of crime against the family of man? Why not re visit the 10 commandments and try and understand them better this Christmas.

Genesis 9:1,7,18-19
1, Then God blessed Noah and his sons, saying to them, "Be fruitful and increase in number and fill the earth. 2 The fear and dread of you will fall upon all the beasts of the earth and all the birds of the air, upon every creature that moves along the ground, and upon all the fish of the sea; they are given into your hands. 3 Everything that lives and moves will be food for you. Just as I gave you the green plants, I now give you everything
7 As for you, be fruitful and increase in number; multiply on the earth and increase upon it."
18The sons of Noah who came out of the ark were Shem, Ham and Japheth. (Ham was the father of Canaan.) 19 These were the three sons of Noah, and from them came the people who were scattered over the earth.

Absolutely yes and yes.
People (and their governments) are so caught up in their own power struggles that they forget these facts.
