my poor doggy wont eat! we wormed her and shes up to date on shots but she wont get any fatter. shes a small beagle mix. does anybody know whats wrong?shes my baby and i dont want to lose her. oh, she also wont use her one of her back legs. i mean you can touch it a bend it and it doesnt hurt her but she just wont walk on it. a few years ago she was bitten by a tick that gave her a disease and we almost lost her.on top of that it gave her arthritis. AND our mean doggy attacked her and damaged an organ i cant remember what it was.does this have anything to do with this mystery problem.?

It could well have something to do with it, or it might not. Take the dog to a vet! If she won't walk on her leg, it's hurting her - could well be the arthritis. You won't be able to illicit pain yourself necessarily, you're not a vet so you don't know how to manipulate the limb properly to find out where pain is coming from.

Do you mean the dog won't eat anything at all? Because you said 'she's won't get any fatter' - does this mean she's just not eating as much as you would like her to? Don't let her get fat - find out what her ideal weight is and feed her the amount recommended on the packet for that weight. If she's not eating at all she's ill and needs to see a vet - take her there, because no one can diagnose over the internet!

Are you out of your mind?! Of COURSE there's something wrong!!! Bunches of hair falling out, and a leg that won't work, and weight loss, and a damaged organ is NOT NORMAL! How cruel to keep her suffering from problems and not take her to the vet as she is entitled to BY LAW. Stop being lazy and cheap and GET HER TO THE VET! Stop wasting time yakking to unqualified strangers on the internet and GET HER TO THE VET! You people are horrible to do this to this poor dog. If you are so cheap and lazy that you won't get a second job or make monthly payments and get her some care, then you have no right to have any pet at all!

Dear Merry Christmas,
I'm so sorry about your dog. It seems to me that, your dog must be suffering. She has so many health issues, she can't keep up with all of it. My old dog, had alot of problems similar to this one. We had the last decision and that was to put her down. Once you think about it, your poor doggy won't be suffering, and she'll atlast be happy. Its going to be a hard decision for you, as it was for us, but you can either have your dog in pain but be with you, or your baby be without any pain, and not be with you. I hope you make the right decision. Good luck, and have a Merry Christmas. E-mail me anytime that you would like to talk about it more, I'd be more than happy to give me more details about your dog.

The best thing you can do for your dog is to take her to the vet. Let them know you just wormed her. You may have nothing to worry about, but it's better safe than sorry.

it could be any number of reasons... usually, with pets, when there are two things wrong like that, it usually is time to take them to the vet... the leg thing could either be a hip problem, or there might be something in her paw?
take her to the vet..

her hip may be hurting her if she isn't using her back leg but if I were you I'd call her vet.
