I had a kitten that was the same way, took him to the vet and found out he was constipated and his tummy was bloated. No wonder the little fella was meowing like crazy whenever anyone picked him up. Anyway, if the kitten is too young to be away from its mother and you have had to step in to care for and feed it, then a special thing to know is that kittens can't poop on their own, they have to be stimulated. I know it sounds gross but this is what the vet told me to do and it worked. After you feed the kitten, run some warm water and wet a clothe. Gently rub under its tail with the wet warm clothe. This will stimulate the glands so that the kitty will have a bowel movement. Believe it or not, this is the reason why the mother cat always licks her babies behinds. Its strange I know, but it works and trust me...your kitten will feel much better.

Nothing's wrong with her - she just doesn't like being picked up! Not all cats do I'm afraid. Don't force her if she doesn't want it.
If you think she's in pain obviously you take her to a vet. Otherwise, just be aware that not all cats like being picked up. Some won't even stand to be touched - they're all different!

EDIT: For the love of God, don't listen to Mercia Holistic Whisperer - feed a kitten baby food? Is she on drugs? It's a kitten - feed it kitten food! Cats MUST have meat - they need taurine, which can only be found in meat. They also need a complete diet, you can't feed them mince and fish unless you want the kitten to become malnourished.

She might have worms? That would make her little stomach extremely uncomfortable to touch so if you haven't wormed her yet, do it asap! If you have wormed her she may have swallowed something thats got stuck in her intestines, therefore making her tummy sore. I wouldn't leave this any longer if i were you, she could have a strangulated hernia which, if left untreated, could kill her! Take her to your vet for a good check up, kittens don't normally cry like that for no reason!

Without knowing any more information, I'd say she misses her biological Mum and is cheesed off because no one is understanding her cries and pleas to be with her biological Mummy. It is sad, but patience and lots of TLC will allow her to settle. Perhaps pick her up in a warm towel and give her lots of purrs and fake cleaning licks by using your nose, thus mimicking the comforting action of her biological Mum. It will also help you to bond. Check her food and make sure you still give her a certain amount of baby food, rather than commercial kitten foods, which evidently she is not ready for. Porridge and other baby foods which you can make from fresh ingredients and mash which some fresh mince and fish.
She may be hungry, because the food you provide her with does not feed the nutrients a kitten her age requires.

she may just be talking to you my cat does that all the time . if she looks like she is in pain bring her to a vet. If you didn't breed her and bought her from a store she may be sick. hundreds of cats are flown in from all over the world everyday. these cats aren't looked after on these flights.also if she looks scared she hasn't socialises. give her space and be careful not to startle her. try patting her when she sleeps to get her used to human contact. also play with her lots. if she still acts like this bring her to a vet immediately

Take her to the vet immediately. Based on experience, I would bet she is very hurt or very sick and in alot of pain.
