Now I know you think that your afterlife is going to be better, but I'm talking about your years on Earth. Do you think that somehow since you are "with Jesus" that your life is better than most.

I'm not talking in material terms, I mean are you happier than the average person solely because you believe in your version of God?

pre-christian life:
suffered from low self-esteem
hated who i was
hated everyone else
thought life was pointless
christian life:
hate who i am
insecure
low self-esteem
going to therapy
anxiety issues, bad enough that i'm losing my hair...but i know that God loves me, and all this only happens on my "bad days" (which can a be bit numerous...)
being a Christian has guaranteed that i'm going to heaven, but it doesn't necessarily make life a cake walk. lol

We are not supposed to think that in material term we are happier. Christ in his ministry talk a lot about how we will suffer because we follow him. We will have a joy that comes only from the Lord. Happiness though if we are doing things right will not really be there for the most part.

My life Has been going so much better with Jesus in my life. I am not saying I am better... just that I feel better then how i felt before. Some Christians can be very arrogant and that isn't good. But my life Is fantastic with Jesus.

Yes and no. Being a believer doesn't mean your life is better by any means but it does offer hope, comfort and love which has to make even the most difficult of lives a bit better spiritually.

They try to convice themselves it is and for some it is. I know many good Christians who really are better off because their faith makes them the good people they are but still others I have to wonder when they get angry and violent over another persons different belief. Remember I did not say they were all like that but did point out the difference.

True hope for the future is very comforting. No one has an easy life on earth - we all have obstacles and challenges, even or especially those with much wealth (celebritys constantly in trouble with the law).

Knowing everything is temporary brings an inner peace while putting our trust in God :-)

Is my life better because of my faith? I'd say yes. Is it any better then anyone else's? Probably not. I can say that my faith has made all the trials that I go through worth it, and has helped me to grow.

I think that anyone, in any religion, feels that their lives are better because of what they believe. If they didn't, why would they continue in that religion?

Just by walking the straight and narrow outlined for us in the Bible makes our lives happier. Knowledge on how to avoid doing things we are sure to regret in the future is fundamental. Of course none of us are perfect, we tend to stumble alot, but for me personally, it gives me great happiness and contentment to live the life of a christian. Not only to believe, but to practice what I have learned. :)

It's better in the way that I have someone to watch over me.

I'm not rich because of it, I think alot of sinners, or evil people have alot more than I do.

but at least when I die, I won't be in a dark terrible place forever and can never leave.

would rather be poor and go to heaven than rich and go to hell

I think a lot of them do believe their lives are better. Many seem to think that we agnostics and atheists are evil, mean, unhappy people.

I'm an agnostic, and I love volunteering and helping people. I'm very nice... I just don't belive in things I can't see.
