BIOS password has nothing to do with accessing Windows ... BIOS password is to stop you getting into the BIOS ... do you mean a Logon Password ... in which case you'll probably need a 3rd party tool to access your password (or the password of the person who you stole the laptop off ... Just kidding you Diana :) )

Go to the bios and try hitting "restore default settings"---there's a slight chance that will work, although it's pretty slim. Generally, if you're stuck without knowing the bios password, you're stuck.

There is a way on desktops to restore the bios to a pre-password state by removing one of the "bonnets" on the motherboard, but this is risky(you could damage the motherboard if you do the wrong thing), and I wouldn't even know how to attempt it with a laptop.

Sorry to say, but there isn't too much you really can do, but like I said, try restoring default settings on the bios and see if that helps.

if u can't access windoes because of a password then u could try to do a system recovery with the recovery cds or from system tools
