I have had limewire for about 5 years now and have never had any problems with it. You used to sometimes get a virus in a song but it now filters it out and tells you b4 you download it. Use it everyday and love it.

Limewire is ok for you computer, as long as don't have a super old computer, you won't see any slow down. But really, it's not the program which can give you viruses it's what you download. Stick to media like Music, Video and Images becuase they have the least chance of being infected. DO NOT download Applications from Limewire. I found that 90% of programs from limewire are viruses that force limwire to stay open, sharing the vrirus with the rest of world. There is no difference from PRO and normal version when it comes to security becuase it's up to the user to have common sence. Just stick with media (like Music, Video and Images) and NO PROGRAMS

Having Limewire on your compuster/workstation would not slow it down. that's risk-free and criminal to have it. it won't supply you ant viruses, because of the fact it would not have any. What you have not have been given you won't be able to supply. the place the possibility lies, is that the guy employing limewire would not comprehend what to get carry of or not. There are constantly a great style of pretend records while doing a seek. those pretend records are viruses, yet pretend to be songs, you could wisely get carry of. start up downloading records greater effective than 2500/3000kb, have your anti virus as much as this element, so as that once a virulent disease slips by, this is going to take of it.

Limewire is good. It also depends on what you download. If you are still not sure then I suggest you download frostwire, an extension of limewire that is more secure.

Hope I helped!

I think LimeWire Pro is best, but I run Mac. Last week we were talking about it at the family gathering.

You're always running the risk of your computer catching a virus; use Limewire at your own risk, basically.

it has a virus blocker built in for one.. it has no spyware or adware.. iv had it for a few yrs and it's been fine for me... u can customize whatever you want to do in options if u download it... i think u wil be ok if u download it....
One thing is, i suggest not downloading any thing that is a zipped file... cause limewire either can't or wont search it for virus' but other thatn that it should be fine.

Yes it's fine. As long as you are SURE that whatever you are downloading isn't harmful. For example, don't download a "song" that is 149.9 kb. Songs should be around 3-5 mb.
