Why do people get offended when you ask questions meant to get people to think? Why would people file a violation when you asking about tubing & AI & MATCHING?" Why is the subject of selective breeding and culling a litter or a part of a litter such taboo?
Why would puppymiller and BYB's take offense to being called out for what they are?
And really, what would be the issue with asking, "Which end bites???" When you are just trying to make a point about how little people seem to know about dogs?

Anyone want to fill me in?

Because keeping the masses uneducated is always best when you have an agenda that is counter to what the best evidence supports.

It works that way with dictators...
It worked that way during Hitler's regime
It worked that way when slavery was a way of life

Spread mis-information, don't allow the truth to be spoken, censor everything...

The premise is if you keep the truth buried... It keeps the masses from questioning whether what you are doing is correct.

My very first violation was in response to a question, "what does euthanasia mean?" I wrote the truth: "To kill." I couldn't believe Y!A considered it a violation of its CGs -- I wrote them and asked them if they wanted me (and others) to answer honestly or what?

That violation was actually overturned and my answer was reinstated.

I asked a question about culling months ago and the person to whom I awarded Best Answer was booted from Y!A. So my question was also deleted.

The question was sincere and genuine and, though the answer I considered best was not really what I wanted to hear, it was the truth and it came from an individual I respect. It was not a sugar-coated answer.

I tried and tried to get that question and its Best Answer reinstated but Y!A would not consider it. I guess Y!A would rather I answer with stories of the stork and puppies going to heaven than with the truth.

BYBs and puppymillers are so far gone, they don't CARE what the truth is.

I honestly think most people believe that "culling" means to kill the animals. People.... culling simply can mean removing those pets from the breeding pool.... spaying and neutering!
When people read the proper way to breed quality dogs they get upset... Why wouldn't they? The more we educate about what is moral and responsible the more they look bad. And the more they probably feel bad. Too bad it's not enough to make them stop.

I think it's because if you educate people and get them thinking.. Help to dispel those myths that people believe... Then the puppymills and backyard breeders won't be able to sell their little sickly puppies to people.

People have come to expect that they can have puppies at 6 weeks of age. The think that they are the ones that should be getting the first vaccinations and worming themselves.. MANY people have bought puppies covered in fleas and expect that is part of getting a puppy.. People have become used to getting sickly badly bred puppies, covered in fleas, full of worms.. Puppymills and backyard breeders do NOT want people know that is not how it is supposed to be.. Cause then they either have to change their ways, or go out of business.. They will do what they need to, to make sure that doesn't happen.. If it's by reporting you and stopping you from educating people, then that's what they will do.. They are like desperate cornered animals, you are going to take away their meal ticket and they are ready to attack !

I didn't get to see the question... so I have no clue.

As for which end bites, I'd guess it'd be the one that has teeth!

As to culling, my only problem with it, is I know most that have to cull their litters, don't bother to spay/neuter the dog that threw the defects in the first place, which would eliminate the need to do so again in the future. I know I didn't word this correctly, but hopefully you get the gist.

Simple........People don't like it when you point out to them how horrible they really are. Those guilty of such things are the ones reporting you. Plus many others on here are unable to think. The human brain has lost its ability to reason it seems. God Help Us!!!

Because people are ignorant. If they can continue thinking they are wonderful owners by refusing to allow these questions to exist, then they don't have to face the fact that their lack of knowledge is hurting their dog's quality of life.

Personally, I think it's because they have one teensy weensy wittle brain cell ....and consider AI and selective breeding and culling "abuse"....

Careful, I think I hear brains exploding this very moment!

EDIT: Animal_Artwork, excellent response! I think you nailed it.
This forum is crawling with little animal rights freaks! Heaven forbid we educate someone on the truth!

By making people think, you make them acknowledge who they are whether they like it or not. Some people dont like it and get offended, its almost like they feel "exposed" even if they have already exposed themselves.
