I finally went to my tools menu and disabled add ons. Silence is Golden....

My family and I will not be shopping at the Gap ever again.

I would not even wear anything of theirs if they gave it to me.

Amy and her husband should be ashamed of themselves, I don't know if they are reading a script or what....talking about laughing at their single friends and dumping jet fuel into the ocean.

Don't think I'll be watching her on Saturday Night Live either.

Have a Merry Christmas, we can only pray that ad will be gone soon.

Thanks for the info so people can make their own choices. My opinion is somewhere between Godless's and Vicarious's.

Funny, I was just talking with a pal about how I haven't been in the Gap in over 20 yrs and I'm surprised they're still in business. Then your Q came up. Coincidence? I think not.

Merry Happy Joyoux, etc Christmas Noel and Peace Peace Peace.

Silence also works. In order to silence that idiotic ad, if you have Internet Explorer, download the ad blocker for it:
http://www.ie7pro.com/index.php

If you have Firefox / Mozilla, download your free Ad Blocker.

I finally did that the other day and haven't had to listen to the idiotic yapping of those mindless weasles on that ad since then. Works fine, lasts a long time.

P.S. Yes, the ad did bring a LOT of attention to the Gap, but unfortunately for them, what else it did was to create a rather large population of people who wouldn'd shop at the Gap now if their life depended on it.

I'm passing this on, if you go to tools, internet options, security, restricted sites and then add the following:
http://richmedia.yimg.com
http://us.ard.yahoo.com
http://ts.richmedia.yahoo.com

This should stop the gap ads from playing

Yahoo sure loves to advertise the gap...I had to mute my sound every time I came in to answers.

Is that ad here and my adsubtract is finally working or not?

Just block the ad! That is what the Firefox Adblock plugin is for, it could not be easier to use.

The Gap is rich. They don't care how I feel about the ad. They paid Yahoo to run it. Yahoo doesn't care either. Block it and move on...

Do battle with corporate America? Never win, it seems. However, GAP is so obtrusive, I wil never be making purchases from them for my familty, children and grandchildren, belive me!

Since when is The Gap a Religious or Spiritual experience?

Emailing them about it only reinforces to them that you saw it- which is exactly what they wanted. It is there to bring attention to the GAP name, and sadly, it worked.
