Timely question, as I'm making King Crab Legs tonight with a Prime Rib for dinner (this is one of three Christmas Dinners that we do every year)
First of all, the crap legs that we get either at the supermarket fish counter or the frozen monster ones at Costco, are already cooked........DON'T BOIL YOUR CRAB LEGS!!!! Boiling the crab legs will "water log" them........STEAM them in a stockpot large enough to hold the legs......I use a huge soup pot (3 gallon capacity)
All crab needs is lemon and melted (or clarified) butter......Crab is such a delicate flavor, I don't know why anyone would want to add anything more to "fight" with it's natural sweet delicate taste........BTW, they only take about 8-12 minutes to steam........Enjoy!!! I know we will......

Grilled Crab Legs
3-4 lbs king crab legs or dungeness crab legs, cooked
2 tablespoons olive oil
Heat grill.
Brush both sides of crab legs with oil and place on hot grill 5" to 6" from coals Heat for 4 to 5 minutes, turning once.
Remove to plates and serve with the dipping sauce of your choice.
Red cocktail sauce, garlic butter sauce, or a thinned down guacamole dip are very nice dipping sauces.

Just boil them. It's simple as that, no need for any fancy recipes. They will float to the top once they are finished cooking. Then melt some butter in a cup, for dipping, and enjoy!
