There is only once race, the Human Race. Now the human race has many divisions, and Jesus belonged to the category of Jewish.

His race or nationality has been a point of controversy from the beginning. Bethlehem, where legend says he was born, is in now-Palestine. Some say his roots are in Ethiopia and many say his lineage is back to other mid-African sites.
One thing for sure, he was a Jew...please keep in mind that "Jewish" is a religion, not a race. Anyone can be Jewish - either born or converted.

As Wayne T said above, he was a Semite. The semitic peoples include the Jews and Muslims and others in the Near-East. All Jews are not Semites and all Semites are certainly not Jews.
A popular magazine came up with a picture of what he may have looked like a few years ago. Abandoning the blue-eyed, flaxen-haired picture so popular among white bigots, they came up with a short and stocky man with curly black hair and dark eyes. A mid-eastern working man of the time. Looked like a friend of mine who is Persian.

Just because poeople calling themselves "Jews" today have brown skin & eyes doesn't mean that Jesus or people from the House of Judah do generally.
People have become "Jews" for political reasons and many original Jews have intermarried with people of other tribes over the centuries.

Jewish is not a race! Judaism is a religion, I would have to say either white or middle eastern. More than likely he was the latter of the two!
