Why do people who were never involved in the crusades discuss it? Or people who never fought in the Revolutionary War? Or people who never saw Helen of Troy?
I mean, seriously, the pride of these people, giving opinions freely on something they cannot possibly know anything of! They should leave it to the the people 100 years old and up in the nursing homes.
For that matter, why are people who never saw the world evolve or be created the most adamant about what actually happened???
Were you there?

What are you thinking? There are no Civil War soldiers left alive. That war was over in 1865. That's 142 years ago. Go read a history book.

Depends on the question to them at that time. Example; which side won; North or South (USA civil war)? It does not take a participate to answer that question.

Dude...why are you asking about people asking questions about Civil War? You never fought in it, or you'd be dead by now...

Some are actually interested in history and would like to learn, so let them be.

If you can find a Civil War veteran alive, much less able to use a computer, you let me know. Till then, non combatant answers will have to do ;)

Those who do not learn of history

are doomed to repeat it.

Why are people having (semi) intelligent conversations about history such a nuisance to you?

Sooooo, you would rather we only talk about things we are directly involved in?

What a boring world this would be.

Because they have studied it and they are interested in the topic. I will say that many non-religious and non-spirtual people have studied religion but are they really interested in it? Or are they just wanting to bash people who do? I have seen some who are truely concerned and are interested but not most. They tend to be here to bash and make fun of believers. Just my observation.
