The bible refers to God and Satan always as him, his, he etc. But that may just be a way to humanize them and make God more approachable to people. On the other hand God did create man is his own image and woman was created from man meaning God could not be female or men would be female too, or maybe people just assume he is male because he can't be female? That may be one of those things you would have to ask them face to face...

No their "divine status" is not based on a gender role or sex. God is often referred in my bible as a Holy Father as well as other terms. I give no credence to satan whatsoever and dont care about the "sex" of a demon. In the bible, satan is referred to in various ways, try reading a bible and you will see yourself.

Throughout the Bible, both in Hebrew and in Greek, God is referred to as a male directly and through the use of masculine words. In Greek every adjective or article used to refer to a person is gender specific, and masculine ones are only used for God. Jesus himself was a human male.

a Jewish friend told me that YHWH is the only name in the Bible which is neither male or female. Satan was an angel, and since there is no marriage in Heaven, i'd assume the angels are sexless as well. also Mankind was created in the image of God.... Mankind includes males and females.

We refer to them as "he" or "him" because there is no appropriate gender neutral pronoun in the English language. In the original Hebrew, God is genderless, and I believe Satan and the angels are too. Until someone invents an appropriate gender neutral program for the English language, it will likely remain him and he. This does not intentionally ascribe any gender to God or Satan.

I guess it was assumed they were all male especially when they call God the Father and Satan has facial hair, it would be very cruel if Satan was a woman

I dont believe I have ever seen a gender attached to satan, the fallen angel.. I do believe in scriptures angels can be either genderless.. or male.

Jesus assigns gender to God by telling us to refer to Him as the Father. In Hosea.. God assigns gender to Himself by saying He is the Husband to the Bride. I doubt it means gender as we here understand it.

Status cannot be taken from God just on your say so.

The 23rd Psalm The Lord is my Shepherd, l shall not want.
He maketh me..... He with a capitol H means He God not she. and there are many many more place where God is referred to as He, and never she. Satan is also referred to as he. many times never she.
Also when Jesus died on the cross he cried out to his Father, not his mother. Remember the Lord's prayer Our Father which art in heaven..... not our mother which art in heaven.....
