What is the point? If you really dont believe, why bother waisting your time on here, If it is to try make us see the way you believe, that isnt going to happen, our faith is strong, so why not do something else or ask questions in a different catorgory................. Just wondering........... please try not to be tooooo sarcastic................... Merry Christmas.....

I was not saying every one doesn't have the right to be, and i didnt think you were trying to convert me!! sarcastic people, i just wondered why do u bother, So many of you get sooooooooo offended.. Isnt that the point of this, to ask questions and learn, not to be rude and mean, just because a Christion asked a non Christion a question... Get over it, and if you preach sooo much on different ways than thru God, practice what you preach and show some man kind some friendliness..... No body is carding you for being here, you have every right, I am in no way, shape or form, anything like Hitler!!! What a dumn *** answer!!!!!! Grow up..... Any way, Happy holidays to you,, and thanks for the educated, non sarcastic answers, and not just lashed out....... :)

I've answered this before, thus....
because the lack of belief in religion STILL has to do with religion, we're here to give balance to the believers' side of the equation, not necessarily to try to get you to abandon your religion, but to emphasize various points and discrepancies of your doctrines and give alternate perspectives of your teachings, I apologize if it offends you personally, but you'll find many Atheists are actually quite knowledgeable on the subjects discussed.

Depends on what you mean by a non-believer. If you are Christian then anyone who does not believe the way you do is a non-believer. Your vanity makes you see that you belong to the only true religion and everyone else is wrong.
This forum is for the open exchange of ideas. It is not for the bashing of other religions or lack of religion. We come here to share ideas so that we can understand other religions points of view.
I find a lot of Christians come on here and quote chapter and verse to say I will go to hell if I am not saved, born again or accept Jesus as my savior. I am not going to do any of those things. I am a very religious person, and I don't need anyone trying to force their views down my throat. You should try listening rather then preaching.

God, here we go again.
This question is asked a hundred times a week. Look it up.
Maybe because there are so many damn questions here directed at US non-believers, silly. This section is not called "Religion and Spirituality for Religious People." It's a public forum. We're not trying to convert you, trust me, we're NOT Christians, we happen to KNOW some things about religion and would like to help you see things a little differently, since most of you are so close minded all the time. If you're so threatened, go away.

Perhaps you should peruse the resolved questions category to get a more in-depth answer as this question is asked multiple times every day.
However, many were raised with religion, many are interested in an academic sense and no matter what subject comes about in this world, everyone has and is entitled to their own opinion on the subject. You wouldn't go to physics to talk about religion or spirituality.

Because everybody can participate if they want to.
I thought that was the whole point, that this is open to everyone.
As for chaing your beliefs, well a bit of discussion won't hurt you, will it?
I have friends who are staunch christians, devoted muslims, buddhists, etc. and we all like to discuss about religion, god, beliefs, church, etc. And it's a very interesting thing.
Religion and spirituality matters are not exclusive to some, are they?

Why is it a waste of time, in your estimation?
By participating here, I have come across some interesting ideas, new information, and some refreshing thoughts. That to me is not a waste of time. That is progress - growth. :)
Merry Christmas!

There are some that are truly searching, they have every right to be here. The only true way to learn is to ask questions.
Then there are those that just want to be condescending dorkazoids. All they want to do is to show the world how big of an idiot they can really be. Those are the ones that are only here to cause problems. They just need to go home and rethink their life.

There is a vexation in their soul that the world has not been able to sooth. God bless. As it is written so shall it be.

Just because someone's not of your faith doesn't mean they don't believe in anything.
