Our life is one of the most important part of our existence. We were in the pre-existence with our father. We needed to grow and develop and get a body. Adam was Michael the ArchAngel. We were there with him. He was not born, but had to be created, and then the birth process started. Adam and Eve were ejected from the garden for a purpose. When Adam was ejected, scriptures said. "You will have to work and till the ground, you will have sorrow, and the possibility of sin entered the world.
So, we came here to receive a body. When we are resurrected we will receive our body back, but in a more perfect form. We also came to be tested. Our father laid down the rules that we are to follow. All rules were put here for a purpose. The rules lead to a perfect society. If everyone obeyed the rules we would have no murders, no stealing, no lieing, no cheating. This is what we are here to learn. This then separates those who are willing to live the rules with those who are not.
Those of us who can come close to living the rules are forgiven for the few infractions we have incurred. We then return to the father. He wants us to succeed. We hear too much about the alternative. In the scriptures it says. "This is my work and my glory to bring to pass the eternal life and exaltation of man" He tries hard to make us a success just as we try hard to make our children a success.
Life is a deadly disease. From the beginning we know we are going to die. After we die, if we are somewhat successful, but not perfect, we get a chance to live in the millenium. That is where we develop more knowledge and tune up our life to make it more perfect. If we succeed, at the end of the 1000 years, we are judged. God again wants us to be a success and rewards those who have wanted that success and strived for it everything that he has is ours. He is saddened at the failure of many as we go through life.

On 60 Minutes interview, Tom Brady (3 time Super Bowl winning quarterback) said, "There's gotta be more than this."
We all know there is more than eating, drinking and being merry and then we die.
"For God so loved the world, that he gave his his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." John 3:16
"Behold, I make all things new." Revelation 21:5
And one more thought, written 700 years before it occurred:
"But thou, Bethlehem Ephratah, though thou be little among the thousands of Judah, yet out of thee shall he come forth unto me that is to be ruler in Israel; whose goings forth have been from of old, from everlasting." Micah 5:2

Basic to having purpose in our lives is recognition of the Source of life. If life were the product of mindless chance, our existence would, of necessity, be without purpose, and there would be no dependable future for which we could plan. But Acts 17:24, 25, 28 informs us: “The God that made the world and all the things in it . . . gives to all persons life and breath and all things. For by him we have life and move and exist.” Revelation 4:11, which is addressed to God, adds: “You are worthy, Jehovah, even our God, to receive the glory and the honor and the power, because you created all things, and because of your will they existed and were created.”

We were made to be with GOD in a perfect world. We were made to worship and serve Him. There is no life without Him.

There isn't one. Why would you think that there is one? This is like assuming that the start state of the universe was nothing.
