I;m pentecostal and been to all kinds of camps and things. Nobody acts like they are on acid or drinking any moonshine. It may be different than what you are used to. But I assure you there is no acid trips or moonshine mania. Just the spirit of the Lord. Have fun and let the Lord bless/Keep you!

We walk around everyday, taking for granted that God paid for our sins. Had he not died for us, we would all be burning in hell. But he gave us a choice, an opporunity to make things right and live the right way.
If you were on death row and someone took your place, wouldn't you get a little excited? If you had no money, and someone handed you a winning lottery ticket, would you act different than you normally do?
We act this way, because we have been redeemed. You have been redeemed too. You should thank God everyday that he gave his life for people he didn't even know. He took a chance that you would love him for it. That's all he wants.

We are "Pentecostal" in that we have all received the Life that began to be given at Pentecost, we don't add on any emotional hype . .. we don't ned to, in fact it detracts.

No. But do you know who did?
Matthew Murray. Ring a bell?
Think "shooting up two churches in Colorado". His whole life was wrapped up in the Pentecostal church. They kicked him out of one of their camps. These are his own words:

Yeah, I think it's safe to say that they're mental.

I went to various bible camps, ranging from fundamentalist to charismatic. Yes, I'd say that religious ecstasy is akin to a wee nip or two of various spirits.
Edit:
Actually, it more parallels the same group ecstasy you see at rock concerts or pep rallies.

If you knew anything about the Bible, it describes what is acceptable in worship. Lifting of hands, dancing, instruments, shouts of joy, etc.. So what is so weird about that?
