not very. i have friends whose beliefs i have never even asked about, and i never would. i am an atheist and my fiance is catholic, and it makes for some interesting and often funny conversations. i really couldn't care lless what anyones personal beliefs are. it doesn't play into how i feel about them as a person as they are all polite and would never try to force their beliefs on myself or anyone else.

It's not very important, but I do like having others around who I can talk to about it. Agreeing somewhat is cool because then we can bounce ideas, but not judging is even more important. When someone else says something like,"That's completely ridiculous," about something I believe, it sure doesn't feel good. It's another person trying to invalidate my views. No-one really needs that. I think tolerance is the way to go.

Not at all.
I've no strong feelings about other people's religious views providing they are benign.
It doesn't bother me if people think the moon is made of green cheese or the Earth is flat and carried on the back of a turtle.
Religion is a great help to many people - it gives them strength and comfort in difficult circumstances - so for them I think, whatever their religion happens to be, it is good.
I am not a Believer, but I believe that religion can be a force for good.

Depends~
This is the practice of what Krishnamurti called choiceless awareness, akin to the practice of shikan-taza, or "just sitting-nothing more" in Zen, and to Dzogchen in the Tibetan tradition. The Buddha called it the themeless concentration of awareness. The mind itself, once cultivated in this way, has the ability instantly to know and recognize what you truly believe in.
And in that knowing, with no attachment, no aversion, in that knowing in this very moment of now, the event, the sensation, the memory, the thought bubble in the stream, the feeling of hurt or sadness, or anger, or joy "self-liberates," as the Tibetans like to say, like touching a soap bubble, but with the mind, or, put differently, dissipates naturally in the knowing, like "writing on water."

This being human is a guest-house
Every morning a new arrival.

A joy, a depression, a meanness,
some momentary awareness comes
as an unexpected visitor.

Welcome and entertain them all!!
Even if they're a crowd of sorrows,
who violently sweep your house
empty of it furniture,

Still, treat each guest honorably.
He may be clearing you out for
some new delight.

The dark thought, the shame, the malice,
meet them at the door laughing,
and invite them in.
Be grateful for whoever comes,
because each has been sent
as a guide from beyond.

Important isn't necessary....it truly comes from the heart-mind

I think it's a respect thing. They don't necessarily have to agree with your religious views, they just have to respect them and vice versa. If they don't respect them then it can cause a damper in your relationship, however if they do then it shouldn't be a problem. It's possible to have different views on different subjects..as long as it's a clean debate or no debate at all.

Not at all... People have their faiths, and they say that believing something means that you should feel that you're right and everyone else is wrong. I don't follow that... Granted, I'm not the most religious person in the world, but I DO have my beliefs and they work for me. I try to be a good person and follow basic fundamentals of good morality, but I would never tell someone of different beliefs that they're wrong. I welcome different cultures, traditions, and faiths... It's interesting to me and does nothing be make me think more about what I believe in.

It is not that important at all to me. I look at a person's character. I look at how much we have in common otherwise and how we get along. Religious views are the least of my concern.

It doesn't matter if others agree with my religious view or not. Some folks get angry with me because I don't agree with them. I ask questions to learn about each religion. Many have tried to convert me, but I tell them I enjoy learning about their beliefs, and want to be friends with them. That doesn't mean I believe what they do. They ask, what do you believe in, I just say we are all God's children and what is said between each person and God is private.

Thank you, Have a safe and happy holiday.

An M.F, happen to find me as always unexposed
Guess he can come to clench his thirst upon the fruit juice
and i enjoy his breakfast he serves every morning before he
goes off to the gym he eats annoyed when i refuse to go
with him because he said why do you waste your time
on the reality that it is all plastic and chosen to give up
upon the real flesh as in reality he is my friend
and he has an idea for idea;s
As his reality that might have a purpose and mine is
not worth one thing !!
I BELIEVE I AM REAL and what difference does it
MATTER no matter what in life
we all have our freedom as far as being
what ever we were meant to be..[understood..and reason to
believe no matter what..[not grounded ]
Whom can say if we are or we are not,?
So long as there is Respect amongst each other

I do not have a religion at the moment, but to me, religion is a personal relationship between an individual and his/her god/buddha/entity of worship so people do not have to agree with one another's religious views.
