When my sister was 1 she wouldnt eat anthing. So my parents tried to make funn shapes out of food. Also try getting her to eat with your son. She might feel better eating with a friend.

The first thing that I would do is to take her to the pediatrician. For one thing to have any medical or metabolic problems ruled out and the other reason would be to document that you have tried to do all that you can for her. Make sure that the pediatrician is keeping a growth chart on her and make a list of all your concerns no matter how small you think they are. Also keep a diary for one week prior to going to the doctor, of what she eats and also when and how much she is moving her bowels. Often when a child or an adult doesn't eat it is directly related to their bowel function. Don't let yourself become obsessive about it just casually keep aware of it. You may find that she is constipated and that she is hiding it from you because children are sometimes ashamed of their bowel movements. In the mean time I would offer her a cup of "Pediasure" but only after she tries to eat her meals. Offer her small meals so that you don't overwhelm her and encourage but don't demand that she eats. I am praying for the both of you and little brother too.

I am an early childhood educator. The first question is....When she eats is she exhibiting any strange behavior. You want to rule out that she has a sensory issue and the food literally Feels yucky. Just search food sensory issues and look it up and see if it fits...if it does talk to you Dr who may recommend some things.

Also you may just have a control issue. She may be saying I can control what I put in my body. Then you have to make deals. If you want the (whatever she really likes) I need to see you eat 4 (The age she is) bites of healthy food. Make sure she is sitting at the table and with you and your family and it is a part of the eating experience.

You should discuss her weight with her doctor does He/she feel it is healthy? You may try to supplement with pedisure or something like that.

She will eat you just have to find the right way.

Because she's a toddler. Toddlers dont eat very much.

Just offer her food when its time to eat, and only feed her healthy things like lean meats and good dairy and veggies. Dont make her eat things because her will is always stronger than yours on the issue.

If youre concerned give her half a pediasure every day, then you know she's getting her nutrients.

If you dont make a big deal out of it it'll pass on its own in time.

Some kids are genetically designed to be string beans, yours is probably one of those kids.

My daughter did the same thing, and still does (she's 13 now). She would go through phases of being hungry and then not wanting hardly anything for days. As long as she is eating something and getting her nutrients, then she'll be okay. If her weight has fallen below the norm, and it is still dropping, then I would consult a doctor.

Check her weight periodically (several days apart) to see if she is gaining, losing, or maintaining her weight.

Well Just make sure she eats when shes hungry. If that doesn't work try giving her water. I know its a little to young for this but is any of the kids at Pre-School teasing her? If this continues you might have to see a doctor.

My four year old is the same way, she never eats. Do you give her vitamins daily? That can help ensure she is getting some nutrients. Only let her eat healthy things when she is hungry. Kids won't starve themselves just keep trying, it will come!

Try to make eating fun for her. And while eating is fun you can get her into the cycle of eatting. Or maybe there is something in particular she likes
