I am always worried about everything. Also i am very pessimistic..for example (this is happeneing now) my dad is going to philly for work and is going to stay over night with 2 other people..i always think something will happen to them..like a car crash a robbery a shootinf or something...i always see the bad side of things....I am also verry very scared of everything like bloody mary, the dark, being upstairs by myself at night...Also if my mom has a cold i will automatically think it is cancer or something deadly...why am i like this? i am 12 years old is it something with my age?

You are suffering from an anxiety disorder. A lot of this worrying can come from your environment as well. Do your parents worry like this? My family was very negative and worried all the time. I grew up with the same attitudes and had to teach myself to turn my attitudes around if I wanted a more productive life. When a negative thought comes up try to think the opposite. Like if mom or someone says I know this is going to happen...turn it around and say but statistics show how unlikely that is. Start training yourself now.
You also may need some anti-anxiety medication. Talk to your family Dr. he might even suggest some counseling to help turn things around for you.

Yeah well, its time you turned off the news on T.V. and threw out Bad Living Magazine in the trash. Stop listing to all the pap taught in the your school that is spewed from certain hacks, on why life is hard for kids today. Trash the news paper as well, and stop listening to all these negative things being said about the planet’s warming, the 2012 prophecy, and the like… This will not have an immediate effect but over time you will feel much better about life in general, and see there is more to it than just doom and gloom.
EDIT: The same type of crap was being said when I was a kid, and it almost got me, but i wised up after having solidified my believes in what is possible and not what is impossible for me to accomplish. Be all you can be! Good motto.

just think positive thoughts and whenever this happens take a deep breath, i used to have this problem too but i got over it knowing that there is a 1 in 1000 chance that any of these things could actuly happen.

You should talk to your mother. There is nothing wrong with being anxious, but you don't want it to start to spoil your life. Dealing with it now would be smart.
