Christmas is a very stressful time. Stress affects the immune system. Christmas occurs in most areas in colder temperatures when flu is active. In those areas people are usually inside where the germs spread quicker. Many people have colds and don't cover their mouths. There is a lot of hugging and kissing...thus germs are spread. Since you know you are prone to sickness at this time you need to take more precautions. Wash your hands thoroughly and frequently. Try to avoid direct contact with people. Do what you can to decrease your stress. Try some good vitamins . GL

I don't think it is a sign or coincidence. I agree with others who have said it was stress. Combine that with the probability that you probably visit or are visited by several people (perhaps who live in different areas) that you don't normally spend time with, and you get sick. Stress lowersyour resistance, and contact with people carrying viruses you have not yet been exposed to, and there you have it. Oh, and if you go to crowded places to shop, well .. you get the idea.

It could be many things but most likely just a huge bout of stress. Sit back, relax, enjoy a nice cup of hot tea. Hope you get feeling better! Merry Christmas!!

This seems to happen to me as well.... I just starting getting my annual throat and cold problems last week!
Lots of people suffer through this- allergies, stress, being around a thousand people, bad diets and drinking, add all of these even sometimes nice things together and you've got yourself a body that is prone to becoming ill!

the stress can lower your immune system making it easier to catch bugs. Plus, if you are doing alot of shopping, you are around more people than usual...alot more sick germy people.
It may be a sign.... to take more precautions. i.e. washing your hands more often.

Maybe you are destined to convert to Judaism, or another religion. Are you adopted? Maybe Christianity isn't right for you. Or you could just be allergic to the winter air. Houses get awfully dry in the winter.

Pure coincidence.
However you may have allergies to some plants or trees that release their pollen during December.
