Be glad you have a family to begin with.
Do you mean to say that you think there is
no other time to have family? Just because
you can't sit around on a specific day at
a certain time with certain people, your life
is bad?
There is no one to blame, it's life. Things
happen. Weather happens. The guy needs
a place to stay, you sound as though you have
a problem with that.
Look on the bright side instead of looking for
someone to blame.
You have a home. Consider Katrina victims.
You have snow. Think about the California wildfire victims.
Selfishness and self-pity don't blend well with
times like these.

Because you have the spirit of a giving person even though a tough layer hides it. This is a time to make everyone remember what a giving person(host ) you became; they will thank you tremendously when the weather blows over; so will the angel above you.

Did you or did you not have free choice is helping create the circumstances that you describe? Its not like they were forced on you. My point is that it is more likely that you are testing yourself.
What God does is His call but chances are you will emerge a better person by maintaining your peace and generous nature.
Give the folks at the gas station a Christmas card and tell them you appreciate their service. Joy is contagious.!

well Maybe God is trying to give you the gift of hospitality and a little more patience..
There is always a blessing when you help others.
Besides all that, Christmas is really OUR holiday and not God's, as Jesus wasn't born in December and God never commanded that we celebrate his birth..

Hm.. Let's look this over. Having family coming in lets me know that you have family to spend the holiday with. I assume that with so many people coming you can afford to feed them all so you have plenty of food.
Got a tree? Got presents? Yes? Then you're the only one "testing" yourself.

It could be your love for Him. Sharing God with those who came might be a good idea. I don't know why He is testing you, but perhaps He's telling you to give thanks for the small things right now. Whatever the case, may God bless you and yours right now. In Jesus' Name.
